ReSOURCE is looking for Reuse Specialists in our thrift retail store in Williston, Vermont. ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit organization with the mission of waste reduction, job skill training and poverty relief. Reuse Specialists support this mission by accepting and sorting donations of reusable goods and maintaining an organized and clean store. What the Reuse Specialist do
ReSOURCE, and this position, are at the forefront of climate change by diverting reusable goods from our landfill. ReSOURCE, and this position, help our community by making reusable goods available a low cost to our communities.
Everyday Reuse Specialists provide top notch customer service to donors and shoppers, sort and prices donations to keep the store full of seasonally appropriate items, and maintains a clean and organized store and receiving bay.
Big picture, Reuse Specialists are on the front line of climate action, supporting reuse and thrift and keeping reusable items out of our landfills.
Work Schedule & Environment
Hours – Whether you're looking for a full-time job in a fun, friendly and supportive environment, or just looking to earn some extra income with a weekend or part-time job ReSOURCE may be exactly what you've been looking for. Schedules can be fixed or flexible, and we have weekend availability also!
Store Hours – Monday through Saturday 10AM – 6PM, Sunday 10AM – 5PM
Location – ReSOURCE’s Williston Retail Store
Compensation – $16 - $17.50 per hour
Job Requirements
Reuse Specialists will open and close the store, provide excellent customer service to donors and shoppers, move items in and out of the store, sort and price items and keep the store clean and organized.
Reuse Specialists must be able to lift up to 50 pounds daily and up to 100 pounds occasionally using equipment.
They'll learn concepts specific to thrift retail and the many ways to keep goods out of the waste stream.
